About this event

Welcome to our first (hopefully of many!) Magic Gatherings!
This event is a Commander specific Event. Feel free to play anything else you want in between rounds
Each round will be 75 minutes with time in between to grab food, drinks and your next pairing
We'll have a longer 30-45 min break mid-way through for Food and to re-set the room
Final Event cost TBD. This will depend on the number of people who attend
BYOB - Alcohol is allowed!
Food will be included in the Event Cost, but you'll be able to order your own food too

Most Importantly: Don't Be A Dick!
This is NOT a cEDH tournament. If your Pod wants to play bracket 5 that's totally fine, but each player needs to agree. We expect decks to fall in the 2-4 range.
Be as honest as possible about how strong your deck is. Things like tutors, infinite combos and how many turns it typically takes you to win are good things to share
All of the "Prizing" is for fun and win % doesn't matter!
Commander was designed to be a social game! Play each game so people would want to play with you again!
Proxy Friendly! Cards should still be readable and identifiable

Bracket System - Power Levels

Because we have a number of players who have not played against each other we're defaulting to the Wizards Commander Brackets

We all know the Brackets are just guidelines. The point isn't to "game the system"
We will have set times for specific formats (Out of the Box Precons) so people will know what time those specific rounds will start
Each Pod will be given a few minutes before each game to make sure their pods are aligned in bracket level

Daretti, The Master Crafter (Commander players love showing off their deck-building brains. This goes to the person who brought a deck concept no one else had ever seen before. Not just a high-power deck, but a uniquely themed deck.)
Kwain, the Joyful Sport (The player who brought the absolute best attitude, highest energy, and most positive vibes to the table. If everyone walked away from a pod with a massive smile on their face specifically because this person was in the game, they deserve the crown.)
Kenrith, The Ultimate Liason (The player who consistently played the most political, interactive, and fair games across all of their pods. If everyone left a table smiling after playing with this person, they win.)
Gonti, The Bling Commander (The player whose deck was a literal work of art—fully foiled, entirely altered art, or beautifully stylized matching tokens and custom deck boxes.)
Selvala, the Generous (The player who went out of their way to help the community during the day—whether it was letting a new player borrow a deck, teaching a complex rule interaction patiently, or buying a round of brews for their pod.)
